Final Outcomes
Various final outcomes from my second year studying BTEC Art & Design. The completed projects are; Inside Out, Interpretations and Layers.
Inside Out
By taking the idea of bringing underwear as outwear, I was able to design and create this simple yet sophisticated look. Strong directional lighting and a solid monochrome theme with a natural yet slick makeup and hair look gave this shoot an unusual edge.

Inside Out
Interpretation
This piece deals with notions of fragmentation and distortion, in response to The Waste Land by T.S Eliot and Destruction by Charles Baudelaire. In particular I looked more closely into how Baudelaire portrays the devil as seductive and persuasive through the use of the devil appearing in woman’s most deductive forms.
Layers
Following the study of Alexander McQueen’s 2010 Spring/Summer collection I became increasingly interested in the use of layering and texture within my own work. I created a body of work based on the close observation of a snake’s skin, utilising materials such as acetate and tracing paper to suggest the delicate nature of the shed skin.
